Coi
In the Laos language, the word "Coi" means "I".
Many ethnic groups live in Laos,
and their traditional textiles are
an important part of each of their lives.
Each group has it's own designs, woven patterns and dying techniques
and everything is made delicately by hand.
Great care is taken at each step,
from the planting of the seeds which will grow into the textiles,
to the spinning of the threads,
to the transformation of cloths into wardrobes
which are used for every occasion in their lives.
Coi aspires to take time carefully creating,
piece by piece a connection and collaboration between Lao tradition and fashion which goes beyond countries - a new style "Coi"
